In conformity with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ghana’s Research Report on Cross-border Human Trafficking (CT3. Cross-border Human Trafficking (iom.int)), Inspire Action intends to open up a shelter (transitional rehabilitation home) which will serve as a shelter where human and sex trafficking survivors, victims of gender based violence receive support once they are rescued from their traffickers’ control. As per our estimates, this shelter should be able to house on average 80 people at a time with consideration made for gender-separate rooms, children, a nurse, an infirmary including a pro-pharmacy, and a CCCM (Camp coordination and camp management) assistant to support the day-to-day activities. We aim to have 1,000 survivors fully rehabilitated into the community by the end of 2024.
